Bio
Credentials and Clinical Background
Julie holds a Masters Degree in Psychology from John F. Kennedy University, and is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She is certified in Hypnotherapy and trained in EMDR, Co-Active Coaching, and Expressive Arts. She takes an active and collaborative role in therapy, and clients know from her warmth and concern that she is real, approachable and safe.
She specializes in relief from anxiety and related behaviors including shyness, compulsive eating, workaholism and recovery from growing up with toxic or narcissistic parents. Drawing from many different theories allows Julie to tailor therapy to the individual, always holding the client's internal wisdom and strengths paramount.
Julie also works with couples to develop closer, more caring relationships. Using an affirming, compassionate and solution oriented approach, she teaches couples to communicate their needs and desires clearly and non-defensively. Partners learn to shift out of old patterns that create distance and toward new skills that create a safe haven for emotional connection and intimacy.

Coaching Experience
Julie has over fifteen years of "real world" experience, working in the advertising, multimedia, education, and computer fields. She has extensive experience in small business development and marketing, combining practical knowledge and skills with spritual principles of attraction and abundance.
Julie currently runs a business support group for therapists growing their private practices. She provides individual coaching for men and women in diverse fields from catering to real estate. She works with small business owners, people making changes in their careers, and people who are looking for work that provides meaning and purpose as well as a paycheck.
